We finally talked Ken and Jane into coming to the Midwest, Well, sort of.
They passed through on their way to serving a 6 month service mission in Nauvoo, Il.
So we spent a couple of great days together. Hitting all our favorite spots.
The pet store, the mustard museum, and the historic Capitol building.

After a good run we NEED pancakes.
A few weeks later we were able to venture to their neck of the woods and pay a visit to ol' Nauvoo. Though it rained like a monsoon. Were pretty used to that type of weather it was great to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa, feel the spirit and take in a few shows.
Can't have a Myers breakfast without buttermilk pancakes.
Does this remind anyone of the kitchen on the house boat?

Oh boy, are these your Martha Stewart buttermilk pancakes? I stole your recipe and make those all the time! Best pancake recipe out there. And we make your Nauvoo Syrup sometimes too, and when we do we always think of you guys! I still remember that morning when you made them for me, Rhonda, and Alline... Good times!
