Howdy all! So we have finally made it back to WI. We live in a beautiful little town called Marshfiled (population 20000). David is finishing up orientation and is ready to feel the pain as residency begins!
While David is at work Quinn and I are settling into our huge 4 bedroom home adjacent to the hospital. Luckily, it takes David 90 seconds to walk to work ( I am sure that is walking briskly). Quinn and I are finding plenty to do with our time.
Here are a few pics of the house before the move in.

On the Drive out we managed to happened upon the visitors center for Martin's Cove outside of Casper WY. A wonderful historical site at the crossroads of 4 major trails: the Piute trail, the Mormon hand cart trial, the Railroad, and the Oregon Trial. This is the area where a Mormon handcart group (no animals to pull wagons... just them and their carts) was traveling in the winter time and were stranded there along the Sweet Water River. Though they suffered much, a rescue team was sent up from Salt Lake City to help them the rest of the way. They story is amazing (find more on www.lds.org).
We also happened upon Mount Rushmore... well, that one was planned. It was amazing to see. Much cooler than what Garrett described.
We read that Jefferson's face was originally supposed to be on the other side of Washington. Due to crumbly granite, they bailed on that plan and he was carved on the right side instead.
This picture just preceded a police officer who pulled up behind us and explained that we should probably follow the signs that indicated "no stopping or standing". In other words he came over the speaker "there's no stopping. Get back in the car" David looked at me and said, "busted". We did get a sweet picture of Quinner and the 'boys' .
Quinn did really well traveling but by the end of day two.. he was ready for his bed (as were his parents!)
